The Challenge

The brief was to create a striking fantasy cover that would capture the novel’s dark, romantic and adventurous tone while appealing to readers of vampire and fantasy fiction.

The Solution

Drawing on the novel’s themes of power, danger and the gothic vampire court, I combined ornate imagery with rich, dramatic colour and strong typography. The crown and sword act as key symbols of power and conflict, while the layered decorative details create a dark, luxurious feel that reflects the world of the story.
