The Challenge

The brief was to create a refreshed visual identity for an established epic fantasy series, elevating the existing covers while retaining the recognisable elements that connected the books.

The Solution

Drawing on the visual language of traditional epic fantasy, I combined detailed imagery, decorative borders and distinctive typography with evolving colour palettes to create a richer, more contemporary series identity. The designs retained the spirit of the original covers while introducing a more polished and cohesive approach across the books.

Each cover stands confidently on its own while contributing to a cohesive series. The evolving colour palettes and recurring decorative elements create instant recognition across the collection, giving the series a more premium and collectible presence within the fantasy genre.
